50 Facebook Marketing Ideas... (simple and easy)

In a nutshell… Facebook marketing is about connecting with people with educational, interesting, and fun content.

Let’s assume you’re staring at your Facebook business page pondering what exactly you should be “sharing”. The choices are fairly black and white as you have five basic choices. You can post a combination of text, links, photos, or video. However, the real question is WHAT IN THE WORLD do you post? What should you talk about? What could you say that would be remotely interesting to the unsuspecting folks kind enough to have “liked” your fair business. We’ll answer these questions below…

The Secret to Facebook Marketing

Kevin Barnes explains it best when he says, “The most important thing that Internet marketers need to understand about Facebook is that while there is promotional content, it’s not a medium where you can be salesman and get away with it. You need to provide your fans and friends great content.” The basic goal is to provide value to your Facebook list and in doing so promote your followers to spread your content to their friends. In my opinion the best rule of thumb is to ask the two simple questions. “Is the information i’m posting interesting to me”, and, “would it also be interesting to my followers?”

Why I Wrote This Article

Just like you, I spent many a night thinking about how I could effectively establish a thriving Facebook community without having the social marketing budget of CocaCola behind me. There’s got to be a way to keep my adoring followers not only interested but interacting with my business. After much thought, research, collecting, and pontificating we decided upon establishing a large list of available ideas. From this list we would regularly (varies depending on the business) post status updates with the hope of instigating a healthy Facebook business page. Use this list however you see fit and let us know if any ideas made a difference for you.
